Our Social Activities
Social activities and days out are a much-loved part of what we offer here at Sweet Surprise. These events and experiences are part of our drive to nurture social interaction with the people that visit us, creating opportunities for conversation, friendship and laughter.
With our numbers, we can often create days out and evening and weekend activities which are harder to access individually or within a family group. We plan adventures to places like Longleat Safari Park, the Dr Who Experience in London and ComiCon.
These social activities are a highlight of the year for us, especially seasonal events like our Summer Ball and our many discos.
What we do
We plan our social activities and days out around what’s happening and our people’s interests, but some recent examples include:
- Day trips to Exeter Comicon, Bath and West Show, Bristol Zoo and Weston Super Mare and most importantly our day trip to Lapland!
- Residential visits to Comicon in London, WWE weekend at Butlins and a week in Spain
- Activities including sledging, ice skating, fossil hunting, bowling and kayaking
- Our yearly events including the Summer Ball, Halloween Disco and Christmas Panto
